Whoops, so much other stuff is stored in the resource file, that I was assuming they put the path there, too. I avoid the registry, so that's not my first thought. I did understand what you meant - that VFP doesn't read the Windows path to build its own. I never really thought that, but when I saw the strange folders in the path (some of them Windows folders), I started wondering if there was some switch I was forgetting about that would make VFP read the Windows path to build its own.
