Even so, a gun allows an assailant some distance from the victim that a knife (or tire iron) does not. I cant picture Clay Aiken going after Jerome Bettis with a tire iron or a knife in a bar after the Bus dances with his girlfriend. Will some people? Sure. Will less people? Sure.

>Someone with a knife way on the otherside of a room where the only exit is right behind me and not obstructed. Otherwise, personally (and this may be a psychological thing), I am more terrified by a knife than a gun because, to me, a knife can do way more damage than a bullet.

>>>You don't know what you are talking about. Have you ever encountered anyone who pulled a knife or a tire tool? I have and inside bars. They were easily concealed and I pulled my pistol. Checkmate. Seven yards can be covered in two or three steps, so yes it is up close and personal. You are just grasping at straws trying to bolster your argument that it's the tool of choice, not the user. You are wrong, wrong, wrong.
