Now you have provided a thought provoking example. If you take guns out of the equation, then the car itself becomes the only weapon. I wonder if the U.S. has more or less road rage incidents compared to other countries (with or without guns - road rage period)? I'm not including gang warfare type of drive by shootings in this discussion because I think that is a separate issue entirely. Is there more stress period on citizens in the U.S.? Are U.S. citizens more discontent than in other countries? Why is that? Do we have too much poverty or too much stress from other sources in our lives? Does it have anything to the individual's responsibility to succeed here (in contrast to the more easy-going nature of the citizens of other countries)? Should that be addressed?

>>The gun just makes it easier for the assailant, but it does not necessarily make him/her any less intent.

>Sure it does, especially for those 'immediate / in a rage' situations that John referred to. If a person didnt have a gun, there'd be a bit more forethought about if, how, and what when confronting someone when a gun is not an option. Plus, using a knife in a drive-by or in a road rage incident just isnt as effective as a gun.
