A fascinating concept to speculate over.

I suppose we'd still be using only land-line phones. Let me explain:

Europe, for one, would probably be in deep doo-doo, with Nazis stamping all over it. But, then again, if the US hadn't come into WW I, the armistice, with its punitive terms for Germany, may well not have happened, so a little toothbrush-moustachioed German daubing corporal and his ilk may not have been so disgruntled with his nation's lot, the Nazi party not arise, WW II never happen, the Bomb not get invented, Statlin wouldn't have had the chance to bags half of Europe, the Cold War not happen, the Space Race not happen, so satellites not happen so soon, and we wouldn't yet have mobile phones.
