he effect is the same - no change.
THe append blank is in the map's click method, so GO BOTTOM int he load method of the details form should set the record pointer to the blank record, shouldn't it?
Nevertheless, I shall remove the GO BOTTOM recompile and take a look.
Without the GO BOTTOM, the pointer is set to the first record in the Details form.
