>Do you really *need* to fix it? Does your app compile okay? Since VS.NET puts that in there all by itself, I would hope that it needs it there and that it's correct. I suspect it's just the editor erroneously barfing on that line because it's an editor bug. I don't really know for sure, just guessing ... but as long as there are no compilation errors, then either don't edit your config file in VS (use Notepad <g>), or just ignore the error.
Hi Bonnie. I would have ignored it, but I was having same problems getting debbuging working properly on my laptop. VS.NET wanted to make an update to web.config, but would give me an error that it couldn't because of a problem with the web.config. Then when I would edit the web.config, then compile I would get bogus compiler messages.
