Hey, it's not me who's making the laws around here. I presume, if there was ever such a law, that there would be some buy-back or any other transitional program. Or if it was registration, there'd be a temporary amnesty for those who'd like to register their paperless guns.

But, you know, there was such a law already. The prohibition - millions of law abiding boozers suddenly became criminals, and didn't even have the chance to pass.
