Don’t worry until you get to Defcon 1! :)

We had many different elements for security when I was in the Air Force. Defcon was but one of them.

Another was “Red Alert”. Grab your weapon and get to your position ASAP. After I left the service a friend of mine told me that the various colors of alerts had been “improved”. A commander decided that in addition to color, priority 1-4 should be issued to any alert! Oh how I miss those days!

This is a Red Alert Priority 4? Or was that Priority 1? Now what? :)

Haha! Actually, I couldn't remember if Defcon 1 was the highest priority, or if it was Defcon 5. I guess I'll have to go watch the old movie "War Games" again. ;)

The NFL Indy Colts have a similar (but less important) problem. Peyton Manning calls so many audibles at the line of scrimmage that eventually someone gets confused. How would you like it if your boss hovered over your shoulder and said, "the calculation of that column is X*Y....no, wait, X/Y....not wait...."
