Good question. Wish I had a good answer... :-)

I don't know of any way to do this with a Fox index. You could try a product such as PhDbase (caps?) that does full-text searching, or change your data so that you have a table of books/articles, a table of authors, and a cross-reference table that links them.

As it stands, your table violates 'first normal form': I don't know if this is a concern for you. 1NF states that you cannot have repeating values in a field.
