I know I said I haven't done much with VS 2005, and I haven't ... but I did attempt to convert my existing big huge app and ran into conversion problems (some of them were my own fault for not having some stuff installed that I needed), but anyway the point is that I wasn't getting any clean compiles anyway because of these problems (and haven't gotten around to re-converting the app yet). But, I did look at my web.config file and I got the same stuff added in that you did, so I'm guessing that we're not the only ones this has happened to, that there must be a reason for having that stuff added and that there must be a solution to the problems out there somewhere! <g>
