That is one that was not showing. When I tried as a wild guess to simply paste the code in there, the designer didn't show an error. So, I run and I now see the proper structure in the XML and VFP can now see the character fields as is. Thanks a lot

Glad to hear that it worked. MissingSchemaAction and AddWithKey are such unintuitive names for the property and setting anyway -- maybe Intellisense couldn't make any "sense" of it. :-)
