In general, all versions of VFP have been known to have great compatibility - unlike VB, for instance.

The main problems seem to be:

  • Changes in the behavior of SELECT - SQL; especially, VFP is stricter with regards to GROUP BY. As a temporary solution, change SET ENGINEBEHAVIOR, for backwards compatibility.
  • The new report designer causes some incompatibilities, especially, font sizes are reported to vary slightly. See SET REPORTBEHAVIOR for backwards compatibility.

Apart from that, there shouldn't be too many problems; but I would do some thorough testing, just in case.
