Yes, we had exactly the same problem. The rule of tumb is: always PACK database before re-building RI. Also this error seems to be not that dreadful in VFP9 as in VFP8. At least once we got it in VFP9, we were able to salvage the database. But we never re-tried to make sure <g>
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
