>Holtzman's off her tree, IMHO - comparing Bush to Nixon is absurd. Tricky Dick was misusing his power to get re-elected - a clear violation of laws and the public trust. If Bush can be accused of anything, it is taking his role as Commander-in-Chief - responsible for national security - seriously.
If we discount the "war against a noun" (just like the war on drugs, on cancer or on smoking) as a virtual war, we are left with the war-on-oil, aka war-on-ex-CIA-guy-turned-independent-dictator, which he pretty much invented, based on doctored intelligence, government-sponsored media hype etc, thus crowning himself, i.e. becoming a c-in-c of his own making.
In our trade, it's called bootstrapping... the OS lifts itself by pulling its bootstraps. The president becomes king in pretty much the same method of immaculate conception.
