>>Security issue? Does the account you're logged in as have privileges to view that database? Are there new security settings in SQL2005 that need to be checked?

>It's probably something related to that. I am logged as the same account as in the VS 2005 interface. The database is setup to Use Windows Autentication. If from the VS 2005 interface, I do a test by changing to Use SQL Server Authentication, my test connection returns that the user is not associated with a trusted SQL Server connection. Basically, on this first test, I do not want to assign any specific privileges to this database. I want to make it as simple as possible.
Is it possible that:
- you're logged into your machine as, say, "MFournier". This account is used in Windows Authentication for access to SQL2005
- VS2005 attaches to SQL2005 via a separate account, perhaps "VS2005"? So, although you are "using" VS2005 as "MFournier", that product is actually attaching via some different account?
In which case, you would need to set up SQL2005 privileges for MFournier.
