>>Like I said to John - never heard of these guys. Talking of household names - whatever happened to Jethroe Bodine and Ely May Clamppet (Jethroe's catch-phrase, like Will Stockdale's "permanent latrine orderly" was "I got a sixth-grade education!" :-) ?

I don't know about that but I remember when they came over to England to occupy a stately home they'd inherited. They were introduced to the butler and got his title/name wrong. He corrected them by saying "Faversham, Sir" (his name). After that they thought that this was a term of greeting in England, so every tiime they met someone they greeted him with "Faversham".

Of course, like all sit-coms, they get a bit stale after several years and this prog ran its course, but when the ideas were fresh it was very funny.
