>You have a fairly recent backup, I hope?
Since he said the book has always been a favorite of his (probably even before it was written - fits my definition of "always"), he probably has spare copies of it.
>>Sorry Terry, I've been preoccupied with a couple bad hard drives and losing 80% of all my personal data.

>>The book,
Motherless Brooklyn, has always been a favorite of mine. The main character is like Monk (tv show here) on steroids. I found especially humorous - though it's not really a humorous book - his recalling how he once had a cat, and it ended up totally neurotic. One of Lionel's most familiar phrases is "Eatmebailey." The only way you could possibly know that without searching, is by having read the book. It looks like I'm very much in the minority as only one person knew what it was about.

>>>Is the "competition" still on? You seem to be satisfied with "Tourette's" but you could at least let me know what the hell the connection is.

>>>[UPDATE] Never mind. I've just looked it up.
