>I have a decimal data type with a scale of 4 stored in my table. Not all values have 4 decimal places however, and when I select these values in my application, if there aren't 4 decimal spots it pads it with zeros. Is there something I can do with my select statement to remedy this?

It's not a problem with select staement but with displaying data in your aplication.
