Buddy Epson was cast to be the Scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz. He agreed to change roles with Ray Bolger, who was originally cast as the Tin Man. The makeup made Epson sick.

Our daughter lived in Culver City, California for a while and pointed out to us the Culver Hotel, where the Munchkins stayed while filming the Wizard of Oz. They had pictures of the Munchkins all over the outside of the building. I think you had to be under 4’ tall to stay there! :)
