>That was my oppinion too, until I ran similar code under the compact framework on a PPC. Not declaring the variable in front of the new statement caused some pretty ugly problems. It caused variables that had not been declared and initialized yet to have a value. Things really went oout of wack, but the code performed as I expected under the regular framework.
