How can I handle this situation...?

In my Purhcase Order system, I have a dropdown listbox containing only those employees who are "purhasers" of material goods. When entering a Purhase Order, the data entry person will select the correct purchaser from the list. A logical field in the employee.dbf tables determines who shows up in the list.


Now then, as you scroll though the existing PO's (using VCR type navigator buttons), you see the data for each PO, including who ordered the material. However, some older PO's were ordered by employees who are no longer here, and therefore their names and employee numbers are not in the dropdown listbox, so the dropdown does not display any info and you cannot tell who ordered the material.

I know I could add their names to the list, but I don't want to see their name when entering new PO's.

What to do?
