Back on topic though... thinking back to when I was beginning to do computer related things in elementary school, we had good 'ol gwbasic on the PC's & some basic equivalent on the mac. All command line stuff in the days of hercules monochrome, but it was great for kids that age learning. You can easily argue, that in the last 15-20 years, general computer knowledge among the youth has increased, but to what degree has their ability to grasp programming concepts advanced? Is there anything, perhaps even an archaic basic language, or command prompt scripting, still around that the kids could at least start on & see what they progress to?
