Does Symantec have issues with VFP programs opening CDO or exercising registry functions (ex:RegCreateKeyEx,WNetGetUser or RegOpenKeyEx).

My tester is using a "corporate" Symantec license - and it doesn't like these lines of code:
SET TALK OFF
set bell to [WAV\tada.wav]
??chr(7)
set bell to
SQLDISCONNECT(0)
CLOSE DATABASES ALL
CLOSE TABLES ALL
close all
clear all
release all
set exact on
set delete ON
set safety off
set bell to
SET CENTURY ON
push key clear
ON ERROR DO errhand WITH ERROR( ), MESSAGE( ),;
MESSAGE(1), PROGRAM( ), LINENO( )

The reason I say this is that the program - as it attempts to load it crashes with "errhand.prg" not found. The procedure file that contains "errhand.prg" is not opened (SET PROC TO ADDITIVE) until a few lines after these lines and just before a read events.

>At home I use AVAST and AVG (different systems). I used McAfee for a year until the subscription ran out and Norton before that. Both drove me nuts although I like Symantec's support websites (I use them). I use Norton at work.

It seems to work ok, but there is one thing that I can't tolerate and that's the fact that they put up popup ads for their own product. I don't want any product that does this, so I'm thinking I'll move back to Norton, however Zone Alarm's product gets good reviews. Anybody used it? Do you see any unsolicited advertising. And, if so, is there a way to turn it off? (I'd rather have none, but would consider a product that lets you completely turn it off.)
