Luis,
In theory there is not difference between C# and VB. Equivalent code in both languages produce the same (in theory) MSIL code.
From what I hear there are some things that are slightly simpler to do in one language than in the other, but since I only use C# I don't really know for sure.
Choosing one over the other is mostly just choosing which syntax you like better. In a solution you could even mix the launuages between projects :)
One is not better than the other, they are "equal". That being said here are my reasons for choosing C# over VB (a little over 2 years ago):
- I liked the syntax better (I had used C and C++ in the past)
- Coming from a VFP background I disliked anything that started with VB <bg>
- The average salary for a C# programmer is higher than for a VB programmer (this was true 2.5 years ago I don't know what it is now)
- There were more examples using C# than VB (this is not really true anymore).

Just my $0.02
