I have been having nothing but trouble with SSIS and the VFP OLEDB driver. Cannot get any VFP data transfered using the method of right clicking the SQL database and selecting IMPORT. DTS worked fine. Seems SSIS doesn't recognize the VFP olddb driver as valid, even though it is selectable on the dropdown.

>I am trying to do a simple dump of an old VFP table (version 9) into a new sql server table (2005). When I run the old DTS pacakge it runs just fine. However, when I try to rewrite the same procedure from a fresh IS pacakge it will error out on me and tell me that there was an error converting data type DBTYPE_DBTIMESTAMP to datetime. What gives here? Any suggestions?

Though a good deal is too strange to be believed, nothing is too strange to have happened.
- Thomas Hardy

Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm-- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.

-- T. S. Eliot
Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for lunch.
Liberty is a well-armed sheep contesting the vote.
- Ben Franklin

Pardon him, Theodotus. He is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature.
