Reports & Report designer
Hi Cathy,
That must be also the reason that im getting different results in my group sub-totals variables when i used the multiple detail band. it counts (sums) all of the parent and the child records together when i tried to count and sum only the records from the parent table per group header.
What i did in creating the report was, i created a form that would require inputs as criteria for the report such as As of date transaction or date selection. Created the data environment in that Form and added the Parent and Child tables and set their relations. I did not have/created a data einvironment in the report form. And do the report based on the criteria from the form when i click the print/show report button.
--------
SELECT Parent
SET RELATION TO SomeID INTO Child
SET SKIP TO Child
Report Form Whatever
Are the commands above different from having the dataenvironment set in the Form or Report Form?
Thanks for the help. I appreciate it very much.
Sonny
