No, a slide rule or log tables. Trouble with these is that they don't do graphics or internet access (to name just 2), let alone porn! <g>

Now, what does a snow blower do that a shovel can't (besides deprive the sedentarily employed person excercise)?

PS Isn't "eschew" a cool word, like "obviate"?
