Hi Larry, Marc and Fabio,

Hey thanks for the input.... Just an FYI I discovered the source of the problem. In the code that was exectuted by the global timer object to update form "B" there is code to display the datetime. Generally I want this to be in 24HR format. I noticed that along the way I had inserted the command;

SET HOUR TO 24

Well interestingly enough issuing that SET command was what caused the problem. By removing the set command from the timer event code the problem goes away! Now the timer fires, form "A" loses momentarily focus, form "B" is updated and when focus returns to form "A", the cursor is exactly where it was before focus was lost.
