We have encountered a very critical problem that appears to be from the browse window command. WE have many sites running the same programs. This only occurs at one site. WE have isolated the probelm by writing two simple programs. One program appends records to the main database table (in the background). The other program continually lists records from this table from a browse window. This simulates the actual operation at the site.

Under high volume appending, the browse will fail with a C000005 error. For example, if we append 20000 records (indexed with about 200 fields) whilst the browse is being used it may fail 3 or 4 times ... but it will always fail. In actual operation there are many more listings happening so it is much more frequent.

If we replace the browse with a third party grid control we cannot make it fail.

We have tried on VFP8 SP1 and get the same result.

Because of the volumes and number of operators at this site the resulting frequent automatic logout is unacceptable.

Any ideas?

BTW the database size is around 400 Megabytes and it will only occur once the database is large.
