(yawn) Escuse me (yawn). That 1st chapter read as dearily as any history text book that put me to sleep at school (name after name thrown in with each paragraph, skipping through Euro history). I've long been interested in how the then super-powerrs squabbled over the NA continent, how the Dominion of Canada came about, etc., but I'm not drawn to this book.
