Once I worked in a web project in which all the logic/processing was inside stored procedures. TI found out that the he reason was the proj mgr on that app was a DBA. After countless hours of arguing about the approach, I gave up.
I think this was worse than spaghetti on the client, where you could actually do some refactoring.
