Hi,
A couple of things to check.
1. Does the user have sufficient rights in the network directory.
2. Does the user have sufficient rights to your TEMP directory. Usually specified in CONFIG.FPW.
3. Are the runtimes installed on each workstation.

>>>I'm updating several legacy apps. I've brought them up to VFP8, and they run successfully under Win2k and WinXP (SP2) when installed on local drives. However, they fail when attempting to run them from a network drive using WinXP(SP2) with uninformative error message "Failed to execute, reinstall program ..." or somesuch.
