>>Hi Peter,
>>
>>>>>So, now you suggest that the attack on the Twin Towers is afterall the responsibility, the guilt, of the Jews and even the Americans themselves!
>>>>
>>>>I would not say jews in particular, though one might argue that the support for isreal is influenced heavily by powerull jews in american politics, but in general 9/11 is a result of a few decades of america's foreign politics.
>>>
>>>In the States lobbying is formalized. The jews also have a lobby group, although it's better to speak of a pro-israel lobby. They are united in the AIPAC. This formally allowed lobby organization has 100 man personnel, is not financed by rich people (yearly budget only 13 million), has 4.5 million members, jews and non-jews, who share one opinion: support of Israel. They can bring forward arguments, but do not always 'win'. There is also an Arab lobby, smaller and older.
>>>
>>>I think 9/11 is the result of mad terrorists, not of America's foreign politics. Your line of reasoning can be dangerous.
>>
>>Well, lets go deeper here. Why did the terrorists attack america? They must have has a reason. Just because america is powerfull and the terrorists want to convert the world to an muslim state? Sure that is what the american government wants you to believe, but it would be ignorant to actually believe that. There is far more to it why the arab world and america don't get along. For example the US is striving for democracy al over the world and will use force if it gets a chance.

>Walter, you appear to believe in a just world where people get what they deserve and deserve what they get. This is an unconscious belief rather than a conscious one. It inclines that you try to find the reasons that explain why some terrible things happened, in this case to the States. That country must have done something awkward that caused this attack.
>But reality is that the world is not merely a just place with fine people. There ARE lunatics. There ARE really bad people. There ARE those who strive for dictatorship. And religieous institutions can indeed influence people to believe they are the true ones and the others the devils.

That's sort of the common theme with religion, isn't it? We have a group here in this country -- a large and growing group -- which differs from militant Islam only in the theocracy it professes. They want the country to be a Christian theocracy. And they grow ever bolder.
