>>>I am not blaming it on "the Jews" exactly. What I am saying is 9/11 would not have happened if not for our (the U.S.) persistent bias for Israel in the middle east. I think we should lose that policy in the deepest part of the deepest ocean and try to live in peace. We have a bunch of warmongers (or chickenhawks, I should say, since none of them served) in the White House and they have taken us down the wrong path.

>>You call it 'persistent bias'. I call it 'persistent help to a good cause'. It's all a matter of "whose side are you on". Your usage of the word bias suggests a scientific analysis, but in fact it's not. You have just chosen for 'the other side'. I'm glad that the majority in your democratic country is still on the side of the Israeli.

>That's fine. We simply disagree. I do not consider 6 million Israelis a worthier cause than tens of millions of Arabs, most of whom are far more oppressed and disadvantaged. Our bias for Israel has brought us nothing but trouble. I think we should be taking a far less active role, not a more active one. This is not a situation like Kosovo or Rwanda where we should be involved for humanitarian reasons.

Yes, we could agree to disagree. But you continue to use the word 'bias' and that bothers me.

Let's develop superb standards that will end the holy wars.
