>>You are refering to certain (non-jewish) christians who want the jews to be in the holy land in order to let happen the big moment that the true messiah will come.
>>But there are also 4,5 million others (jews and non-jews, mostly secular, democrat, republican, liberal) who are member of the formal lobby organization AIPAC. This organization is not sponsored by rich jews, produces reports and has official meetings with government officials and congressmen. That's how things are organized in the US. There is also an, even older, Arab lobby organization.
>
>My bet is that a whole lot of the non-Jewish members of AIPAC are one-and-the-same those Christians who await the "Rapture".

My bet is that they are not at all members. Well, here's their website: http://www.aipac.org/student-web/whoweare.html

>>Why I wrote it the way I did here? Many people write things down in a way that suggests that there is a secret, conspiring group of powerful jews who determine everything, including the actions of the president. I think it is not enough to react that this is not true. It is best to tell how lobbying is part of the game in the US.
>
>I've never been big on the claim that some rich Jewish cabal has control over White House affairs. But "lobbying" is a way of life in Washington, so I have no doubt that AIPAC has good connections and uses them at every advantage. With the help of the Christain fundamentalists when they (CFs) deem appropriate.

>By the way, bias happens every day, everywhere. It isn't necessarily bad, and it will never be eradicated. So best to learn to live with it.

Sure, bias happens every day, everywhere. Psychologists can tell you all about it. But if the word is used to disqualify the arguments of an opponent, then it's time to be critical about the usage of the word.

Constructive frustration is the breeding ground of genius.
If there’s no willingness to moderate for the sake of good debate, then I have no willingness to debate at all.
Let's develop superb standards that will end the holy wars.
