>A while ago I put my wife's car for sale. One of the ads went of the local Craigs' list (for Miami). Within a week I received 4 emails of people interested. All four where Nigerian scammers. The first one was well written and only asked for details on the car. I answered and got a response that made me suspect something fishy when he said he could not come see it because he was out of town and wanted it for a friend in Canada. I told my wife to watch the next email as they will tell me that the'll give me more money in a fixed check they have and they want the difference returned to them. I missed the amount prediction by a couple of thousand.

Ah, yes, another pernicious scam not just pertaining to Nigerians. There's a UK prog called "Watchdog" that featured this one a few months ago.
The other thing to watch for with Nigerian scams is that the email is always all in UPPER CASE
- Whoever said that women are the weaker sex never tried to wrest the bedclothes off one in the middle of the night
- Worry is the interest you pay, in advance, for a loan that you may never need to take out.
