My father and wife and children flew to Bruxelles. He acknowledges that it was easier to survive there. He has also considered to stay there after the war and had/has quite a negative opinion about the mentality of the Dutch during and right after the war. Having admitted that, other readers here must not get the impression that the Dutch were similar anti-semites as the Germans. That is not the case.
