Sorry - missed the point of your message the first time. I see you are attempting to say that because of a series of books that were popular and depict the end of the world in a violent way - that - that is proof of the destruction of Israel as being the goal.

Depicting events that will happen does not mean that is the goal.

I do beleive that in the end there will be very violent actions. And - yes - those who are not Christians (by "Christian" I mean those who place their faith in Christ alone) will perish - whether or not they are Jews. The goal, however, is to live a life that honors God and someday spend eternity with Him.

By the way, don't take this as me pushing me religion on you - just trying to explain my position and defend an accusation made by Alex.

>The series of novels that were recently published that basically deal with the rapture climax in an extremely violent ending. Most of the blood is spilled by those stuck down by jesus for being non-believers (I believe this was how it was worded).

>I don't know what percentage of those believing follow the guy who wrote the book. But I know the book was wildly popular. That many do follow him and his believes. And his believes call for a violent ending.

>>Yes - the Bible talks of the Rapture (although it never uses that word) and the destruction of Israel (as well as the destruction of many types of people - including Christians.) However, that is NOT the "the stated and known goal of the Christian Fundamentalists." I was just wondering if you could back that up with something I need to check out. No need to respond further unless you have something that proves your statement.
