I just got back from lunch and heard a religious discussion on talk radio. They were talking to a leader in a christian group who is ashamed the religious right has hijacked Christianity. At least now I've heard a very religious man make sense:

>>I'm not trying to say a series of books is proof of a goal. I'm saying that many, many do believe in the premise of this series of books. You are one of them. You say:

>>"I do beleive that in the end there will be very violent actions. And - yes - those who are not Christians (by "Christian" I mean those who place their faith in Christ alone) will perish - whether or not they are Jews. The goal, however, is to live a life that honors God and someday spend eternity with Him."
>>
>>So you do believe that you are better then the rest of us who don't follow this hogwash. Please explain to me how your believing in this goal of events occuring that will cause the Rapture is any different from fundamentalist Muslims blowing themselves up so they can go me 79 virgins????

>I don't believe I'm "better" than anyone. In fact, I believe I am equally deserving of the punishment many will face. I also believe that, by God's grace, my eyes have been opened to the truth of the Gospel and that I will spend eternity in Heaven as a result of Christ taking the punishment I deserved.
>
>Of course, there are many difference between Muslims and Christians. I'm not going to Heaven to have my way with any virgins. I will spend eternity being in the presence of God and worshipping Him.
