Calm down Tracy. Walter is only one Dutchman! I am the other one (here). And I am very very very grateful for what the allies have done for us. Please, do not generalize (hey, that's what I brought forward in this thread) us Dutchies, at least not in a negative way.
Having said that, it is a fact - and I hate to admit it - that there is this anti-american tendency in Europe. It must be because those who lived during WWII are now a minority and the young apparently haven't learned the lessons of WWII to the extend the elder had meant it. They have learned that the Americans only got involved a bit later and apparently make the jump in the head that it's then not really altruistic anymore. Bullsh*t indeed and your reply to Walter is very cool. Thanks.
