>Howard, nice to meet you in this thread. Pardon me for jumping in. Let me introduce myself: I'm an atheist. And I'm currently reading the book Atheology from Michel Onfray, a French philosopher. His book is currently widely read in France. I suppose it is also on the market in your country. The topic has my attention because I fear the militant religeous people. As I read your words, you are not militant, but you are very convinced that God exists, right? Do you mind to debate some quests? You should know that it is indeed my goal to induce some doubt about the existence of God in your head. Not militantly, but merely with arguments. Can I shoot?

>Okay, here is my first quest: How long is eternity and how can He be worshipped if you were not able to take your senses with you to heaven? I mean, you'll have no eyes to see Him, relatives and friends, no muscles and bones to move around, no nose to smell, no brain to remember anyone or anything, no voice to speak.

You are correct - I am not militant. It's frustrating when others lump all Christians into these fringe groups.

As to your questions...I'd be happy to discuss with you any questions you have.

Your first question - "How long is eternity?" - I'm not real sure why you'd ask that one. As you know, eternity is a concept that is hard to comprehend. I'm fairly certain you have an idea about that one already.

Second, there will be a time where our spirits are in Heaven without a body. There is a whole other spirit realm that we do not fully understand. I can't tell you how we will worship without a body. However, at the rapture, we will be reunited with our earthly bodies - but - they will be made new. We will spend eternity in what is called the new Heaven and the new Earth with our new bodies. It will be much like what we have now - except without all the sin and corruption.
