Can anyone explain why a progress bar that is normally produced from a select - sql statement would fail to show in a compiled .exe?

If I run the exact same sql statement in a normal vfp session, the progress bar appears, however after compiling the .exe and running it, the progress bar does not show up. The results of the sql are correct in both instances, the only difference is the visual indication of the bar or lack of.

FYI, the table that is being queried is large enough to produce the progress bar.
