Thank you for the suggestion. At this point, I'm 99.9% percent done writing this archiving tool, and it already does a recursive folder navigation for various purposes... zipping, deleting, copying w/ the option to NOT access the sub-folders as well. This read-only issue looks like it will be my last hurdle to clear & another post gave me the WSH way of achieving it.
