The VFP sample program should have a line starting with DECLARE. The IN keyword on this line specifies the location of the DLL. Maybe the program is changing the current directory, or it is giving VFP a full path that is not the same location where you put the DLL into.

I'm curious, though: What kind of hardware comes with VFP sample code?
