I like them too. When I was at grammar school a few of my friends visited Holland, back in the early 70s. At one point they were hitch-hiking and a guy stopped for them. Where he was going was just a way-point for them but he went over 100 miles out of his way to drop thaem at their dest., just cos they were English, in remembrance of the British part in their liberation.
