Funny you say "whisps (sic) of smoke"...

When I was a kid there was a fairly large cemetery at the end of my street. One day a bunch of us were playing ball on a vacant lot across from the cemetery when the guy batting said "Hey. It looks like someone lit a fire in the cemetery. Let's go have a look." and we all looked over, saw the smoke, and agreed we should check it out.
When we got near to where we thought the smoke was coming from we saw a funeral in progress, and most of us agreed that the smoke we had seen was cooming from exactly where the hole had been dug.
Later some of us agreed that the smoke was different than what we usually saw with a fire in that it was more wispy and much less spread out and rising more quickly.
