>>You implied that Christians are saying one can commit various sins and say something like "It's okay - just convert on your death bed." Maybe I misunderstood you - but - that is definately NOT what I'm saying. I am saying that if one does truly repent on his death bed then, yes he is a Christian. HOWEVER, I am not condoning a life of sin in the hopes that one will have the opportunity to repent on his death bed. That is reckless and a lifestyle that I would not condone.
>
>Am glad you don't. I don't condone it either. But your assertion says that - even thought risky - it works. So what's the point if your main goal is an afterlife in heaven?
>

The point is that you were incorrect to say that that I (by being associated with Christians) would condone the lifestyle you mentioned.

>>Are you really willing to base your entire life on what others think? It really doesn't matter if 90% of the world thinks as you do. Majority rule is not the way we should determine right and wrong thinking.
>
>I don't. But if 90% is no of your religion and you firmkly believe that yours is the True Way (tm). Then something's wrong.

Didn't quite understand that one - looks like your fingers were in the wrong place on the keyboard. Probably not important anyway...

>
>Wasn't there a time when 90% of the world thought the Earth was flat?
>
>Ooh. You don't want to get there. Let's not get into science discussions. You said you believe literally in the Bible. So science is probably not your strong point. Else you'll find out many things like bushes don't burn forever, the sun does not stay up on the sky not moving from one place while the battle is going on, people do not survive inside whales and ghosts are a physical impossibility. The earth is not flat and it is not 6,000 years old either. Let it be.

We've been there many times...you're right. I'd rather no go there again - not because I'm afraid you'll say something that will shake the very core of my beliefs - but because it's pointless to discuss those things if we can't agree that the Bible is accurate. The point I was making was that one should not base his beliefs on what 90% does or does not believe. I think you agree with that one...
