>I do have four children. If one or all of them should choose to reject God, that would have a negative impact on our relationship. If they lived a life that was under control, we could still have contact and I would still want to see them and spend time with them. If their life was a life of obvious, outward rebellion, I would need to disassociate myself from them. While I would still love them and would still allow them into my home on occasion, I would not spend as much time with them. In either case, the time I would spend with them would spent sharing the gospel and asking them to repent. Above all, I would pray for them and ask God to change their heart.

So if your cramming of the Bible down the throat of a, say, teenage rebellious son would drive him from your home, you think that spending what little time you do have with him sharing the gospel and asking him to repent would attract him back.

His rejection of God would, after all you've instilled in him, push you from him?

You often advocate bible study, and quote chapter & verse, did you ever read the parable of the Prodigal Son: "Here is my son who was lost but is now returned to me. Right, Proddy, back into the Den; you and me's got some serious bible study to catch up on"
