Do you have a theory on why god creates so many souls knowing the majority will end up in hell for choosing a false religion? Does he take mercy on children that are too young to choose a religion or is it straight to hell for them?

As far as anyone deserving salvation - I've already stated that no one "deserves" salvation - it is a act of mercy from God.
