I don't argue that Christianity is an absolute, guaranteed fact. It is not fact! What I'm saying is that I am choosing to believe in God as written in the Bible. If it all ends up being a pile of rubbish - then so be it. For now, I'm believing it to be true. When each of us die, we will either see that what we believed was true or that is was a lie. Neither of us knows for certain right now.

People who liver prior to Christ we told to believe in the promise of Christ someday coming. If they trusted in and believed in that future event, then they too are in Heaven. I guess it's debatable whether or not we can call them "Christians."
